That’s the Rub

If you’ve trained with weights for more than a couple of years, then you’re familiar with one of the most common side effects of intense workouts — aching muscles and joints. You have three ways to deal with this pesky condition:

1) Do nothing and suffer.

2) Take supps that work internally.

3) Use external/topical liniments to reduce pain.

Most weight trainers go with one of the first two options. But if you really want to maximize gains from your toughest workouts, a combination of No. 2 and 3 may be the best option.

Arnica liniments are available for topical application to help reduce swelling and pain caused by sprains, strains and bruises. But they also may be helpful in reducing muscle soreness from intense training. Arnica works by dilating capillaries, helping to reduce inflammation and promote the healing process by driving more healing nutrients and fluids to the parts of your body that ache.
