BCAAs + Taurine


OK, so three branched-chain amino acids plus taurine doesn’t exactly yield a “duo,” but you get what we mean. Recent research shows BCAAs and taurine combine to reduce delayed onset muscle soreness, the pain you feel the day after intense workouts, and muscle damage caused by the eccentric (muscle-elongating) phase of an exercise. 

Fortunately, these two (OK, four) aminos are found together in only about a million preworkout products, but if you’re concocting your own blend, take 5 grams of BCAAs and 3 grams of taurine before and after workouts.
