I have to admit that despite being a huge bodybuilding fan, I was for a long time ignorant of the fact that the IFBB has a Pro Wheelchair Division. While I have known for some time that wheelchair bodybuilding existed, it only recently occurred to me learn more about this often overlooked aspect of one of my favorite sports. I get motivated by the likes of Phil Heath, Evan Centopani and Kai Greene and their videos push me to reach my own health and fitness goals. But when the Internet introduced me to Harold Kelley, his videos outright inspired me.

For those who don’t know who Harold Kelley is, he’s the reigning IFBB Wheelchair Champion and the only winner of the show since it’s inception in 2011. When I watched his chest training video the other day, I was absolutely blown away. Wheelchair or not, Harold has an amazing physique and his training program is hardcore to say the least. Seeing him load up the bar and throw up over 350 pounds on the bench and crush those decline pullovers, made me feel like a lazy slug for skipping my workout that day just because I was a little tired. His attitude and words are an inspiration. Prior to his spinal cord injury, Harold was an accomplished bodybuilder and had every reason to just quit the sport he loves. But he didn’t and now he is the top dog in the IFBB.

Anyone looking for inspiration and motivation needs to check out Harold's videos. As for me, I’ll be cheering him on as he plans to defend his IFBB Pro Wheelchair Championship title this fall in Houston, Texas!
