This weekend the 2013 FIBO Power show is going down in Cologne, Germany. While last year’s winner Johnnie Jackson will be there to defend his title, all eyes will squarely be on Cedric McMillan to see if he can live up to everyone’s expectations. Cedric placed a disappointing sixth place at this years’ Arnold Classic with the general consensus being that he got shafted by the judges, an opinion I agree with. I had him in fourth place behind the “X-Man” Toney Freeman who’ll also be on the FIBO Power stage. FIBO Power 2013 is set to be a monster show with a competitors list that also includes Edward Nunn, Robert Piotrkowicz and fan favorite Ronny Rockel. With this stacked lineup, the top spot is up for grabs.
If I were a betting man, and I’m not, I would put my money on Toney Freeman purely based on his two performances earlier this year. Is he a shoe in to take the title? No. Especially considering the future of bodybuilding is in the lineup. Cedric McMillan is one of the most aesthetic bodybuilders to come along in recent history, and if he could just nail his contest prep and come in tight, he’ll challenge the X-Man for the $25,000 prize. But I guarantee Johnnie O will not go down without a fight and he looks to be on point with his physique this year. We’ll have to wait a few more days for the official results but one thing is certain, the German bodybuilding fans are in for one hell of a show.
